Thanks to everyone who joined us in Taipei and Taichung this season for the debut displays of the Taiwan Mussorgsky Project. The exhibit accompanies live performances of Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Apo Hsu conducted the NTNU Symphony Orchestra (2008.12) and the Taiwan Wind Ensemble (2009.04). Selected photos from the series appear here.

Alton Thompson, a professional classical musician based in Taiwan, is attracting growing interest for his art and travel photography. His Taiwan Mussorgsky Project, a series of 400 images prepared over two years, has been shown in coordination with live public performances of Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition in Taiwan concert halls. Photos from Alton's Images appear in international publications.
Alton continues to maintain an active schedule as a conductor and serves on the faculty of universities in Taiwan. He holds degrees from the Florida State University, the University of Memphis, and the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.
